Bengaluru Fort

The Bengaluru Fort, originally built as a mud fort by Kempe Gowda I in 1537, is a historical gem in the heart of Bangalore. Later, Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan strengthened it with stone, turning it into a stronghold of Mysore’s resistance against the British. Although much of the fort was demolished during the British takeover in 1791, the remaining structures offer a glimpse into Bangalore’s rich past.
