Jog Falls

Jog Falls is a breathtaking sight, especially during the monsoon when the Sharavathi River plunges nearly 830 feet (253 meters) into the deep gorge below, forming four majestic cascades — Raja, Rani, Roarer, and Rocket. The force, mist, and roaring sound create an awe-inspiring experience that ranks among India’s most spectacular natural wonders.

During the dry season, the flow is regulated by the nearby Linganamakki Dam, revealing the rugged rock formations underneath. The viewpoints — Watkins Platform and the British Bungalow side — offer stunning panoramic views, while adventurous travelers can trek down to the base of the falls through a steep trail (if permitted).
