An ancient temple festival of Kerala, known as the "Mother of All Poorams," with 70+ elephants and a confluence of deities.
Arattupuzha Pooram

Arattupuzha Pooram, held at Arattupuzha Temple in Thrissur district, is believed to be over 1400 years old. It is one of the oldest and most revered temple festivals in Kerala. The highlight is the majestic elephant pageantry and the grand assembly of deities from 23 neighboring temples. With vibrant percussion orchestras and rituals, it showcases Kerala’s temple traditions in their purest form.
What makes it special is the Devamela – the congregation of gods and goddesses from across the region – making it not just a festival, but a divine meeting.
