Bihar Museum

Bihar Museum is a modern, state-of-the-art museum in Patna, designed to showcase the rich history, culture, and heritage of Bihar. Opened in 2017, it serves as an extension of the Patna Museum, with a more interactive and engaging display of artifacts. Spread over 13.9 acres, the museum features galleries on ancient Bihar, Buddhist heritage, tribal culture, regional art, and natural history. One of its most prized exhibits is the Didarganj Yakshi, a remarkable Mauryan-era sculpture that was earlier housed in Patna Museum. The museum also includes a children’s section, a library, and a mini-theater.
