One of the Char Dham sites, Dwarkadhish Temple is a towering seaside shrine dedicated to Lord Krishna, believed to be his ancient kingdom.

Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, stands at the heart of Dwarka and is among the most sacred Krishna temples in India. Believed to be originally built over 2,500 years ago and later reconstructed, the temple reflects classic Chalukya-style architecture with a massive five-storey structure supported by intricately carved pillars. The soaring shikhara and the 52-yard-long temple flag, changed multiple times a day, are iconic sights of Dwarka.

The temple is deeply woven into Krishna lore—this is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna ruled after leaving Mathura. Devotees visit not just for darshan but for the spiritual rhythm of daily rituals, especially Mangla Aarti and Sandhya Aarti. The nearby Gomti Ghat adds to the experience, where pilgrims take a holy dip before entering the temple.

How to Reach Dwarkadhish Temple
From Dwarka Railway Station, the temple is about 2 km away. You can easily reach it by auto-rickshaw, e-rickshaw, or a 15–20 minute walk through the old town streets. If you’re coming from Gomti Ghat, the temple entrance is just a short walk uphill.
