Nahargarh Fort

Nahargarh Fort, perched on the Aravalli Hills, is one of the three historic forts of Jaipur, alongside Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort. Built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the fort served as a defensive structure to protect Jaipur from invaders. Unlike other forts, Nahargarh was also a retreat for the royal family, offering stunning panoramic views of Jaipur city.

The fort's most remarkable feature is the Madhavendra Bhawan, a palace complex with ornate frescoes, interconnected rooms, and secret passageways designed for the king and his queens. The fort’s rugged charm, combined with its grand architecture and historical significance, makes it a popular attraction. Nahargarh is also famous for being a prime sunset viewpoint, attracting tourists and locals alike.

Apart from its history, Nahargarh Fort has gained popularity for its rooftop restaurant, Padao, which offers a unique dining experience overlooking Jaipur. It is also a favorite spot for trekkers and photographers due to its breathtaking landscape and vantage points.
