Panchchuli View Point

Panchchuli View Point is one of the most mesmerizing attractions in Munsiyari, providing an unobstructed view of the Panchchuli Peaks, which are part of the eastern Kumaon Himalayas. These five snow-capped peaks, towering at altitudes ranging from 6,334 to 6,904 meters, hold significant mythological and natural importance. According to local legends, the Pandavas cooked their last meal here before ascending to heaven, giving the peaks their name "Panchchuli" (meaning five chulhas or cooking hearths).

The viewpoint is located just 4 km from Munsiyari town and is easily accessible by road. The location is surrounded by dense forests, rhododendron trees, and alpine meadows, making it an ideal place for trekking, nature walks, and photography. The best time to visit is early morning or sunset, when the golden sunlight reflects off the snow-covered peaks, creating a spectacular view.
